Signature creation
Pulse Style — a quiet place for wellbeing and style.
Pulse Style is our most ambitious and thoughtful work to date: a world-first application that brings together wellbeing, beauty, fashion and wardrobe management in a single, cohesive piece. It is our signature creation — the work that best shows how we blend artistry, craft and purpose.
It helps people align their personal style, self-care and overall wellbeing in a meaningful, seamless way — without piling on the noise.
Our thoughts when making Pulse Style
Quiet words on the clever bits behind the scenes.
You may have noticed Pulse Style feels a little intelligent in places — a curated suggestion here, a thoughtful pairing there. Behind the scenes, we do lean on a touch of clever technology to help Jo, your Personal Stylist, do her best work. But we use it sparingly, and entirely on purpose — just like you would use a subtle technique or material in a piece of art, only where it adds something special.
Every clever query has a small environmental cost — a flicker of energy somewhere in a server hall. So we asked ourselves a simple question: where does it genuinely help, and where are we just showing off? The honest answer trimmed our use right back to the essentials.
Why we chose not to build 3D avatars and full virtual try-ons
It's well within our reach technically — and rather tempting, like using a fancy new material or technique just because we can. But generating bespoke 3D models of you, in every outfit, every day, is enormously energy-hungry. And then we remembered something charming: back in 1835, a German chemist named Justus von Liebig worked out how to coat glass with a whisper of silver. Suddenly mirrors became affordable, beautifully clear, and quietly miraculous. Almost two centuries on, that same little invention is still hanging on most bedroom walls — using precisely zero watts.
So our gentle suggestion: use our creation to gather inspiration, plan your looks, and play with combinations — and then, for the final verdict, take a few steps over to that clever silvered device on your wall. It's been doing this job rather brilliantly since the Victorians, and it doesn't need a single server to do so.
Mindful making — using technology only where it truly adds something — and a quiet bow to the beautiful, simple inventions that already work perfectly.
The outcome
Pulse Style gives people a calm, single place to plan their look, care for themselves and feel at home in their wardrobe. It is proof that ambitious software can also be quiet, intentional and considered — a piece of digital craft we are proud to have made.
